2022 Junior Adventure Camp

SUMMER 2022 Ready for Adventure? We are thrilled to bring back another unforgettable summer camp experience for our Junior Members. Glenwild Adventure Camp offers your child(ren) a summer filled with new friendships, fun experiences, and exciting discoveries. There are four camps scheduled for this summer and each camp will be from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, three days a week. During the camp, Glenwild Staff will entertain kids with various activities such as hiking, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, and water activities. The safety of your children is the most important aspect of any junior activity and in order to staff the club properly and also run a camp we will need to limit participation to 30 children per session. No guests will be allowed to participate in the camps. Members’ children will have priority over grandchildren of members. We will do our best to accommodate as many children in the camp as possible. In order to do this, we will open sign-ups until Tuesday, May 31st, then compile the sign-ups and inform members which camps we can accommodate your children in and establish waitlists for the overflow. Please complete the online registration request form found here or on the Glenwild website. Camp Dates June Camps will cost $270 for all three days and are for kids ages 6+.

CAMP ACTIVITIES ICE CREAM IN A BAG

If kids knew making your own ice cream was this fun and easy, they would have started making it on their own a long time ago! Campers will enjoy this chilly, chemistry fun mixing in their favorite toppings/treats before delighting in their creation. RELAY RACES In the days before iPads and Mario Kart, kids enjoyed good old fashion neighborhood races. This delightful, and fun activity will be sure to keep all of our junior members laughing as they work together to cross the finish line first. Balancing an egg on a spoon, racing to complete a tic-tac-toe board or having to dress up are just some of the entertaining challenges our racers can expect. RUBBER DUCKIE RACES On your mark, get set, GO! Campers will have an opportunity to decorate and race their rubber duckie down the wild, white-water river between holes 17 and 18. Who has the fastest duckie at Glenwild? It’s too soon to tell but it’s bound to be one of our campers! PINE WOOD DERBY Everyone knows that Pinewood Derby time is all about the FUN! For many participants, the design of a Pinewood Derby’s car is more important than its speed. Campers will have the opportunity to build, decorate, and then race their cars against fellow friends. HIKING THE GLENWILD TRAILS The Glenwild trail system is one of the best in Park City. Campers will build up an appetite as they enjoy a leisurely hike from the tennis courts back to the clubhouse for lunch via the Glenwild Trail. SCAVENGER HUNT The thinking skills of our Glenwild campers will be put to the test as they navigate a special scavenger hunt around the club. Following the clues and working together will be the only way to navigate this challenge and delight in what awaits at the end. Clues and scaven ger hunts will be tailored to the specific age groups of our campers.

CAMP ACTIVITIES CONTINUED TIE DYE ACTIVITIES

Dress for a mess and grab your t-shirts, hats, and socks for some imaginative, colorful fun. Campers will be “dyeing” with laughter in this creative activity. KITE DECORATING & FLYING The sun is shining, there’s a warm summer breeze, and we are cleared for takeoff! In this fun activity, kids will get creative and decorate their own kites before launching them into the sky. FIELD DAY AT THE PARK There are few places better to spend time than the park on a nice summer day. Campers will enjoy a variety of park-themed games and activities before heading back to the club. SWIMMING & POOL GAMES Sharks and minnows, one, two, three, fishies, fishies swim to me! Campers will beat the summer heat with a little game time in the Glenwild pool. Sharks and Minnows, Dibble Dabble, Marco Polo and other fun, wet activities await campers on these warm summer days. ARTS & CRAFTS The ultimate boredom buster: squirt gun painting. Campers will spend time participating in different arts and crafts activities throughout the summer days.
