Dear Member: Welcome to the 2022 golf season at Glenwild Golf Club. The following book is designed to be an easy reference guide for planning your summer activities. The 2022 calendar of events continues to evolve and allows consistent access to the course. You will find a schedule of events and times we anticipate the course will be available for general play based on previous years’ events participation. We hope this additional information allows you the opportunity to enjoy your time here at Glenwild. Glenwild will continue to schedule tee times for the 2022 golf season. Members will be able to make tee times up to 7 days in advance online, using the Glenwild website, mobile app, by calling the Golf Shop, or in person. During the Club’s busy days smaller groups (singles and twosomes) will be paired up with one another in an effort to accommodate all members and maintain the expected pace of play. This year the course will be open for play at 7:30am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between June 17 th and September 5 th in order to allow early morning member play. Accompanied Guest play will continue to be available, but will be limited to help ensure Member Only play during our busiest times. Members will also be limited to one group of guests per day during the busy period of golf season. Please refer to page 9 of the book for guest rules and regulations and note that changes to the rules/regulations may be made throughout the season. Josh has previously worked at Promontory Club and Talisker Club at Tuhaye as an Assistant Golf Professional, and is a decorated player winning the 2021 Utah PGA Assistants Championship.

CADDIE PROGRAM The Caddie Program at Glenwild is an integral part of the Glenwild golf operation. Our Caddies are independent contractors and the Caddies will determine the group that they caddie for based on requests.The Club will make every effort to have caddies available for Members who request one in advance.The Club urges all Members and Guests to support our caddie program, one of Golf ’s most valued traditions. The following rules apply to the use of caddies: Single Player $120 + gratuity (recommend the caddie makes $150) Two Some $120 + gratuity (recommend the caddie makes $150) Three Some $40|bag ($120 total) + gratuity Four Some $40|bag ($160 total) + gratuity Tournament Play $150|bag per round for individual players | $200 minimum for 2 or more players The cart fee will be waived when a caddie is employed. 1. All caddie arrangements should be made through the Golf Shop. Please do not contact the caddies directly. 2. Caddies assist Members and Guests during their round of golf and tend to the following needs of the golfer: > Enhance overall golfing experience > Provide yardage and general course knowledge > Repair divots and ball marks > Rake bunkers after play is finished, if the player does not > Clean clubs as they are used > Tend the flag 3. A Forecaddie will be required for all groups with a larger ratio of Guests than Members, as well as unaccompanied guests. 4. Tournaments: Caddies will be assigned by the Professional Staff for certain events and Members can request Caddies for other events. Please see a Golf Professional for info on each individual tournament.

LEARNTO PLAY IN ONE DAY GOLF SCHOOL Director of Instruction Craig Hocknull will be conducting “Learn to play in one day” golf schools for Glenwild Members and their guests of all ability levels. These one-day schools will cover putting technique, green reading, short-game creativity, iron play consistency and driving for accuracy and distance. The cost will be $400 per person and includes 6 hours of coaching and lunch.

Attendees under 13 years of age must be pre-approved.

PLAYWITHTHE PRO - ON COURSE COACHING Join us for “Play with the Pro” on-course coaching sessions for groups of 4 players during the twilight hours. Director of Instruction Craig Hocknull will show you why 6 pm to 8 pm is his favorite time to be on the course. The sun and temperature are going down, the wildlife is coming out to visit and you don’t feel rushed. Join Craig this summer on selected dates and times for some great on-course coaching and fun times on the course. The cost is $100 per person and will include instruction and your favorite cocktail.

The GPI program in 2022 will focus on golf as well as expanding the athletic capabilities of our Junior athletes building speed, strength, and confidence.

The Golf Staff is very excited about the GPI curriculum and we are confident that our Junior athletes will thoroughly enjoy their experience. Please reach out to the Golf Staff if you have any questions about GPI “Glenwild Performance Institute”.

Each camp includes snack and lunch each day, gift per student, and over 20 hours of instruction with a student to teacher ratio of 7 to 1.

Camps will be broken into age groups (6-9, 10-12, 13-16) to guarantee your child gets the most out of the camp experience. Each day will consist of range work, on course play, rules of golf, course rules, and etiquette. Space will be limited in each camp age group to ensure the correct student to teacher ratio. Cost is $450 per student for each weekly session.

JUNIOR GOLF ACCESS At Glenwild, Juniors are encouraged to play golf and learn about the game. The following classifications are designed to help establish where a child is in his or her progress as a Junior Golfer. Players will be placed into one of three levels: PGA JUNIORS Juniors whose skill level allows them to play in accordance with the rules and etiquette of the game. Starting from the Purple tees, scoring approximately 63 or less for 9 holes, and maintaining the pace of play under all conditions. PGA Juniors must also pass a written test based on the Rules of Golf and course etiquette. PGA Juniors may play at any time if accompanied by an adult, and during off-peak times when unaccompanied. All unaccompanied junior play will allow faster member groups, of any size, the opportunity to play through. PROFICIENT JUNIORS Juniors whose skill level allows them to play in accordance with the rules and etiquette of the game, but whose skill level is not that of PGA Juniors. Proficient Juniors are encouraged to play at off-peak times from the Purple tees and MUST be accompanied by an adult. BEGINNING JUNIORS Juniors new to the game are classified as beginners, are encouraged to play at off-peak times, and must be accompanied by an adult. Beginning Juniors are encouraged to tee off from an appropriate yardage in the fairway, to aid their development and increase their enjoyment of the game. Peak times for Juniors are classified as; Thursday morning, Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning, and all major Holidays. Access to the course may be limited on other occasions at the discretion of the Director of Golf.

PRACTICE RANGE Practice balls are available for all golfing Members and their playing Guests. Practice Range hours will vary based on the time of year with the range opening 30-minutes before the first tee time. Please practice from designated areas as this will assist in the perpetuation of a quality tee area. Practice balls are for use on the practice facilities and should not be used on the golf course for any reason. STARTINGTIMES Members are able to make advanced tee times online or by contacting the Golf Shop up to seven days in advance. When booking a tee time please advise the Golf Shop in advance of all Members and Guests in your group, so the golf staff may make all necessary arrangements (caddies, rental clubs, etc.). If your plans have changed and you are unable to play during the booked tee time, kindly notify the Golf Shop as soon as possible. REGISTRATION To ensure the accuracy of your charges, please register with the Starters in person each time you play golf at Glenwild. Upon registration and prior to teeing off, the Starter who will be responsible for facilitating your group’s access to the golf course will record your guest names, number of holes you will be playing, and if you will walk, take a caddy or ride in a golf cart. TIPPING POLICY Glenwild Golf Club and Spa is a NOTIPPING facility. We strive to provide the finest service possible to all Members and their Guests. PLEASE INFORM YOUR GUESTS OFTHIS POLICY. As a no tipping facility, it is imperative that ALL Members and Guests adhere to this policy to ensure a consistent level of service. Tipping is permitted for caddies, as they are independent of the Club.

CLUB FITTING Club fitting utilizing Trackman technology is available. Fittings are available in two levels.

FULL FITTING This is a comprehensive look at your full game, from the putter through the driver. The process takes approximately 2 hours. Players will be fitted for:

Loft, lie, and length.

Loft, lie, length, and bounce angle.

IRONS:

Loft, lie, length, shaft flex, and composition. Swing and ball speed are measured.

DRIVER:

Loft, lie, length, shaft flex, and composition. Swing and ball speed are measured, launch angle, and ball spin rates are identified. Recommendations made to help select the ball that performs best based on the player’s launch conditions.

BALL:

SPECIFIC AREA FITTING This is a comprehensive look at any one of the areas listed in the Full Fitting. The process takes approximately 45 minutes.

BAG STORAGE Bag Storage is available to all Club Members at their option. This service includes cleaning after use, in-out service, and storage. The annual storage fee is $200 per Adult size bag and $100 per Child size bag. Daily storage is also available at a cost of $10 per overnight period. All members leaving bags on a continuous basis will be billed the daily storage rate until they accumulate $200 in charges.

GENERAL GOLF RULES In order to ensure an enjoyable round of golf at Glenwild, the Club has established a recommended pace of play of 4 hours for 18 holes. This applies to all players on the course, regardless of the number of players in the group. Slower players shall allow faster players through, no matter what size the group. Single players on the course have no standing. 1. The Rules of Golf as adopted by the USGA shall be the rules of the Club, except when in conflict with local rules or with any of the rules herein. 2. All players must check in with the Golf Shop before beginning play. Under no circumstance are players permitted to start play from holes #10, and #3, or residences without Golf Shop approval. 3. Practice is not allowed on the golf course. The practice facilities should be used for this purpose. 4. Enter and leave bunkers at the nearest low point and smooth sand over with a rake upon leaving. Leave rake in the bunker away from the edge. 5. Repair all ball marks on the green. Replace all divots or fill with sand provided on the golf cart. 6. Searching for balls other than those played by Members of the group is not allowed on the course at any time. 7. Each player must have his or her own set of golf clubs. Rental sets are available through the Golf Shop. 8. Fishing, jogging, bicycling, and recreational walking is permitted on the golf course daily until 11:00am on the back nine or until golfers are present. The Club reserves the right to amend or change this at any time. 9. No beverage coolers are permitted on the course, unless provided by the Club. 10. Pull and push carts are not permitted. GOLF CART RULES 1. Golf carts shall not be used by a Member or Guest on the Club facilities without proper assignment and registration in the Golf Shop. 2. Golf carts may only be used on the golf course, when the course is open for play. 3. Golf carts may only be operated by persons at least 16 years of age and having a valid automobile driver’s license. 4. Only two persons and two sets of golf clubs are permitted per golf cart unless the 4-bag attachment is in use. 5. Obey all golf cart traffic signs. 6. Always use golf cart paths where provided. 7. Be careful to avoid soft areas on fairways, especially after rain. 8. Never drive a golf cart through a hazard or native grass areas. 9. Operation of a golf cart is at the risk of the operator. Persons who are or appear to be intoxicated may not operate a golf cart. Cost of repair to a golf cart which is damaged by the Member, a Member’s Guest or a Member’s Family shall be charged to the Member. Each Member and Guest of the Club shall be held fully responsible for any and all damages. This includes damages to the golf cart that are caused by the misuse of the golf cart by the Member, his or her Family Members or Guests. The Member and Guest shall reimburse the Club and /or any operator of the Club for any and all damages the Club may sustain by reason of misuse. 10. Each Member accepts and assumes all responsibility for liability connected with operation of the golf cart. The Member also expressly indemnifies and agrees to hold harmless the Indemnified Parties from any and all damages, whether direct or consequential, arising from or related to the Member’s, his or her Family Member’s or Guest’s use and operation of the golf cart. 11. “Course Closed” or “Hole Closed” signs are to be adhered to without exception. 12. Violations of the golf cart rules may result in loss of golf cart privileges and/or playing privileges.

GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE 1.

Anticipate your next shot and be ready to play.

2. The time required to “hole out” on and around the green is a chief cause of slow play. Study and clear the line of your putt while others are doing the same. Be ready to putt when it is your turn. 3. Be sociable, but reserve your extended conversations for the 19 th hole. 4. When approaching a green, park your golf cart on the cart path most adjacent to the next tee. Never leave the golf cart in front of the green where you will have to go back and get it. 5. When play of a hole is completed, leave the green promptly and proceed to the next tee without delay. Record scoring for the completed hole while the others in your group are playing from the next tee. 6. If you are not holding your place on the course (see General Golf Rules), allow the players behind to play through. Do the same if you stop to search for a lost ball. 7. The golf staff will report slow play and all breaches of golf etiquette to the golf shop. Appropriate action will be taken by golf shop personnel.

DRESS CODE Proper attire must be worn at all times on the golf course and on the practice facilities; Members are responsible for their guest’s attire. Continued violations of the dress code may result in suspension of playing privileges.

Men: Polo/knit styled shirts with collars (mock style is acceptable) and sleeves must be worn and tucked in at all times. Button down camp style shirts may be worn tucked or untucked. No tank tops or t-shirts. Shorts must be “Golf styled or Golf specific.” All shorts must be Bermuda length (no lower than at the knee). Cargo style or shorts with an exterior pocket MAY be worn; however, camouflage coloring, frayed style, overly baggy or sloppy styles are not allowed. Athletic shorts, bathing suits, or short shorts (higher than mid-thigh) are not permitted. Sweat pants, blue jeans, yoga style, or cargo pants in camouflage coloring, frayed style, overly baggy or sloppy styles are not allowed. Any golf brand attire that meets Club standards will be allowed. Headwear must have the bill in the forward position. Women: Polo/knit style shirts with collars (mock style is acceptable). Shirts with a collar may be sleeveless. No tank tops, t-shirts, halter-tops, or bathing suits. Slacks, skirts, skorts, shorts or golf dresses in appropriate lengths are acceptable, but in no case should the length be shorter than mid-thigh. GUEST PRIVILEGES Guest privileges may be extended or limited under the rules established by the Club from time to time. Although it is the intention of the Club to accommodate Guests without inconvenience to the Members, the Club reserves the right to limit the number of Guests that accompany a Member on any given day or over the course of a membership year. The Club shall establish from time to time the rate of guest fees, other charges, and the rules and regulations for use of the Club facilities by Guests. Guest privileges may be denied, withdrawn or revoked at any time for reasons considered sufficient by the Club in its sole and absolute discretion.

1. A particular individual using the Club facilities as a Guest must be registered by the sponsoring Member of the Club. The Club reserves the right to require identification from each Guest. Guests will be charged Guest fees for use of the Club facilities, as determined by the Club. 2. Guests will be entitled to use the Club facilities only in accordance with the privileges of the membership of the sponsoring Member, and upon payment of applicable fees. 3. Guest charges for all services, will be charged against the sponsoring Member’s club account, unless the Club permits credit card payments. 4. Guest privileges may be limited by the Club in the sole and absolute discretion of the Club. Notice of such limitation will be given by the Club. 5. The sponsoring Member shall be responsible for all charges incurred by the Guest. The sponsoring Member is also responsible for the conduct of their Guest while at the Club. If the manner, deportment or appearance of any Guest is deemed to be unsatisfactory, the sponsoring Member shall, at the request of the Club, request such Guest to leave the premises.

PACE OF PLAY/SIZE OF GROUPS Pace of play is a hot button topic at every club in the country, with Glenwild being no exception to the rule. Culturally we would like all Glenwild Members to be concerned with pace of play and be aware of their own pace. In order to reach this goal and have a club that is known for great pace of play, it’s important for all Members to understand what is expected and some of the issues that can cause a slow pace of play. Pace issues may be caused by groups that are too big, groups that are too small, and groups that are a perfect size with players not paying attention to their pace. In a perfect world, we would have only 4-somes on the golf course playing in 4 hours or less. However, the world and Glenwild are not perfect. We understand there will be singles, 2-somes, and at times 5-somes on the golf course. Glenwild would like to encourage players to play in 4-somes and during our peak times we will encourage/require smaller groups to pair up and create 4-somes. If you are playing in a 2-some during a peak time of day, you should expect to play at a 4-some pace as playing thru a large number of groups will not be an option. Glenwild will allow players to play in 5-somes and all 5-somes will be held to a strict 4 hour or less pace of play standard. All 5-some members taking more than 4 hours will lose their privilege to play in a 5-some. Allowing groups to play through on busy days will create pace of play issues. Each time a group is allowed to play thru there is approximately a five-minute delay to that group, and now every group behind them. With a group on each hole during peak times, there is simply no room or extra time and playing thru is not an option. In this case, each group needs to keep up with the group in front, not simply keep ahead of the group behind. On days when there are open gaps on the course, groups are expected to allow faster groups to play thru. The Glenwild Starters will be on the course assisting groups with pace of play. At times they may require you to allow a group to play thru. The Starters request must be honored. The golf course is here for the enjoyment of all our members and their guests and allowing multiple groups to play thru should signal to you, that you are a pace of play problem. When other groups are approaching your group from behind, please keep in mind the following things:

•When/where is a good time/place to let the group play thru? • Is there room to let them thru or is every hole occupied? • Do I need to pick up my pace?

Rules of letting groups play thru:

• Slower players allow faster players to play thru (Singles have no status on the golf course). • Signal the group your intent to allow them thru (wave your arms). • Continue to advance your position on the course as the group is playing thru (ex. if you were on the green, continue to putt while the group playing thru is driving to the green).

From time to time, you may be approached by a Glenwild Staff Member to discuss your pace of play and how you can make improvements. Please understand that this is constructive criticism intended to help you and your pace of play. Playing at a reasonable pace is not a difficult task and does not require tremendous skill. It requires a few simple things: • Be ready to play when it is your turn. • Drive your cart partner to their ball, drop them off and proceed to your ball, you do not need to stay and wait for your cart partner to hit.

•

Do not take undo time to hit a shot, study your shot quickly and play on.

• If walking to your ball from the cart, take multiple clubs to ensure you do not need to return to the cart for a different club. • Limit conversations to the time between shots in the cart and after the round. • If you are struggling on a hole it is ok to pick up, this is a game that is supposed to be fun. MUSIC ONTHE GOLF COURSE Music is allowed on the golf course within the following guidelines; the volume must be kept to a reasonable level so other groups on adjacent holes cannot hear the music. It is the responsibility of the player(s) who would like to listen to music to ask permission from their playing partners, before turning on any music. If any player in the group does not want music to be played, please respect and abide by their wishes. In an effort to maintain traditions of the game, music will not be allowed during all Club Championships. POSTING OF SCORES FOR GOLF ROUNDS The Golf Staff at Glenwild will assist Members in the posting of 9 and 18-hole rounds of golf played home and away. Members are also able to post scores on their own using the terminal in the golf shop or on their USGA app. The World Handicap System allows for a playing conditions calculation that will automatically adjust scores submitted daily based on the playing difficulty of the day. It is important for members to post their scores on the day in which the round was played as all scores posted will contribute to the playing conditions calculation. In the new World Handicap System, you are encouraged to post your scores hole by hole or per 9 holes instead of an 18 hole score. In accordance to USGA rules, scores will not be accepted when a player plays alone. HANDICAPS 1. Handicaps are computed under the supervision of the Golf Shop in accordance with the currentWorld Handicap System. 2. All Members and their Guests with aWHS approved handicap may participate in club tournaments. All handicaps submitted may be reviewed by the Golf Shop and Handicap Chairman. 3. Members are responsible for posting all scores on a daily basis. Any Member failing to turn in a score shall result in a score being posted that is equal to his/her lowest score on record. 4. The Golf Shop and Handicap Chairman reserve the right to adjust handicaps for club tournament play. The Club also reserves the right to deny any member entry into tournament play for handicap manipulation. Yardage measuring devices without elevation and conditions adjustment ARE permitted in all club events.

GLENWILDWOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION The GWGA plays 18 holes each THURSDAY morning and welcomes all golfing Ladies with a maximum handicap index of 36.9 to participate in the association.

The GWGA 9-Hole group gets together MONDAY afternoons and welcomes all golfing Ladies to join the association. All skill levels are welcome to participate in these clinics and events.

The GWGA publishes an annual schedule of events and Membership Book. Dues are $175 for the year. Email GWGA@glenwildgolfclub.com to join.

SUMMER SCRAMBLE All Members and Guests with established handicaps are invited on selectedWednesday nights to participate in a 9-Hole Scramble. The cash entry fee of $50 per person includes prize fund and dinner after play. Indicate your desire to play by 12:00pm for a 4:30pm Shotgun. Dinner will be served at approximately 7:00pm following play. *Applicable cart or caddie fees apply.

Scrambles will occur on the following dates: May 25 th June 29 th (Family Scramble) July 27 th August 24 th September 14 th

MARTY’S GAME The Professional Staff is running a Friday Game for the male membership of the club on select Fridays throughout the golf season. The game will be an option for all male Members (and their male Guests) playing between the 11:00 am & 2:00 pm tee times. The entry fee for the game will be $60 that will go to payouts for a Blind Draw Better Ball and Skins, and appetizers in the Men’s Locker Room during scoring. Members are able to make their own groups or sign up individually to be paired. Tee times from 12:20 – 12:50 will be set aside for those members who would like to be paired. Members creating their own group are not allowed to book in the 12:20 – 12:50 window. Members playing in Marty’s game will be able to book tee times for the game more than 7 days in advance.

Scoring will take place in the locker room with winnings paid in cash.

Based on previous participation, the golf course will be available for regular play at approximately 12:00pm. Entry: $275 per player Members are encouraged to bring Guests to this two-day event marking the beginning of Glenwild’s golf season. Open Gross/Net Divisions and Couples Gross/Net Divisions.
